The Revolution Ride has moved to a new location in Mill Valley:

Event time: The first wave of cyclists depart at 8:00 a.m., and the event will end at 3:00 p.m. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. for riders cycling the longest bike route.

Depending on what your Rev plans are, your arrival time may be early in the morning or mid-day. Take a look at the timeline below to determine your ideal arrival time. Volunteers: your arrival times vary, and are detailed in the Volunteer Confirmation Email received once your volunteer shift is confirmed.

There is limited parking at the event venue, and carpooling is encouraged. There is a drop-off zone at the entrance to the venue, and overflow parking nearby if needed.

With the new location for the Rev, we are happy to offer four brand new routes. Be sure to click on the links for details about each route, and take special note of the elevation changes as well as the length of the routes. If you have questions about a route, please reach out to RevRide@borp.org or speak with Leo at the BORP Cycling Center.

Rev 5-Mile - Roll and Stroll: This out-and-back route is great for walking, strolling, and rolling. This accessible route is fully paved and is protected from vehicle traffic as it stays off of the open road.

Rev 20-Mile - Paradise Loop: This is a beautiful ride along the ocean with amazing views of the San Francisco Bay. Don't be fooled, there are a good amount of hills. Please use caution when descending.

Rev 22-Mile - Hawk Hill: This route has great views of the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. Lots of climbing!  There are some very steep descents. Use extreme caution!

Rev 40-Mile - Hawk Hill and Paradise Loop Combined: This is a challenging cycling route with great views of the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge, and lots of climbing! There are some very steep descents. Use extreme caution!

You are welcome to participate in the BORP Revolution Ride in one of a few different ways:

Ride, Roll, or Stroll at the in-person event in Mill Valley on 5/17/2025. This option includes a fundraising component. All are welcome. Register as an adult or youth participant. Participants receive an event t-shirt and lunch at the Festival.

You are welcome to start or join a team during the registration process. 

If you register before your team captain has created your team, you can join the team/invite others to join your team at any time. 

Attend the post-ride Festival fun, but don’t go out on the road or volunteer, at the in-person event in Mill Valley on 5/17/2025. The cost for a Festival-Only ticket is $100 and includes lunch.

“Rev From Anywhere”: there are many ways to participate without attending the event in Mill Valley on 5/17. The Rev From Anywhere option includes the option to be a part of the Virtual Rev. Join a team, be a team captain, or Rev on your own, in your own way: host a mini-Rev, choose a cycling or non-cycling challenge of your choice at a location and time of your choice, and more. Feel free to reach out to us at RevRide@borp.org if you’d like assistance in planning your custom Rev. Participants will receive an event t-shirt if they choose.Looking for more details? Yes, we ask that all participants fundraise. The Rev is BORP’s main fundraiser of the year, and participants in the event commit to fundraising. Funds raised support the full menu of programs offered by BORP. Fundraising minimums: Adults: $400; Youth: $150; Ride From Anywhere: $150

The Rev team is available to support you in your “peer-to-peer fundraising.”  We have email templates for outreach, and are available via email and phone to workshop fundraising ideas and to assist if you have questions about how your fundraising dashboard works, and more. Reach out to us at RevRide@borp.org – we are happy to help you as you help BORP!

You can leave the event without staying for lunch or the program, but we’d love it if you join us. We’ll be celebrating the BORP community with some fun and entertainment as well as recognizing fundraisers, teams and sponsors. We are providing a fabulous catered meal, wine and beer and a beautiful spot to relax for a bit of well-earned rest.

The BORP bus will be available to drive Rev participants to the event. Space is very limited on the BORP bus as it holds a limited number of wheelchairs, wheelchair users, and attendants. The BORP bus departs early on the event day, departing from the Ed Roberts Center in Berkeley. To reserve your place on the BORP bus, contact transporation@borp.org. Be sure to reserve your seat as early as possible.

The Rev is powered by a fabulous team of volunteers, and BORP would be thrilled to have you as a part of the volunteer team. The Volunteer page offers general info about the day and expectations for volunteer roles as well as a sign-up link that gives detailed info for each task where we could use your help.

The Rev is BORP’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and sponsors are an important part of meeting our fundraising goals. Visit the event Sponsor page to learn about our sponsorship opportunities and to see a list of the current event sponsors.

BORP’s Cycling Center is a wonderful resource for adaptive bikes and cycling adventures all year. For the Rev, the BORP team matches adaptives bikes to riders, and brings them to the event for you to use. To reserve an adaptive bike for the event:

In the event sign-up form, register as an event participant and click the button to note that you would like to borrow a BORP bike. Be sure to also note if you will be riding with a Support Rider.

New to the BORP Cycling Center? You will likely be asked to visit the Cycling Center, and the team there will help you find the right adaptive bike for you. 

Be sure to register and reserve your bike as soon as you can to assure that an adaptive bike is available for you.

BORP will transport the reserved BORP bikes to the event, where they will be ready and waiting for their designated riders. After you check in to the event, you will be directed to the Adaptive Bike Area, where the Cycling Center team will get you ready to ride.

Support Riders commit to riding alongside an adaptive cyclist, supporting them along the entire ride to help riders be more visible on the open road, avoid potential hazards, and assist with navigation. Support riders must be age 18+, and be partnered with a specific adaptive cyclist. 

Often, but not always, a Support Rider knows the person they are riding with. If you would like to volunteer as a Support Rider, or need a Support Rider, contact us at RevRide@borp.org and we will connect you with the Cycling Center team.

Support Riders may contact RevRide@borp.org for their registration discount code; registration fees are waived for Support Riders. Fundraising is encouraged but not required for these dedicated volunteers.

Yes!

BORP should be able to match you with a volunteer Support Rider if you need one. If you or need a Support Rider, or would like to volunteer as a Support Rider, contact us at RevRide@borp.org and we will connect you with the Cycling Center team.

If you are logged into your Revolution Ride account, then pressing “Rider Registration” will open up your personal fundraising dashboard whenever you visit the Rev event website. 

To log into your account, enter your email and password in the top-right corner of any of the Rev website pages, then click the “login” button, or visit the sign-in page for folks who have an account. 

To create a new account, click “Register” and follow the prompts.

To easily send outreach emails, follow these steps:

   -   Log in to your fundraising dashboard by logging into your account

   -   Click CONTACT BOOK in your dashboard menu. Here you can Import names and emails from any of the major email service providers or manually add First Name, Last Name, Email, and Greeting for people you want to add to your Contact Book.

Once you have contacts:

   -   Click "EMAIL" in the dashboard menu (below your profile photo)

   -   Click “Compose” to start a new email or “New Template” to create a custom email template. If you create a New Template, that process will bring you back here and you need to click "Compose" to get to the next step.

    -   You will see a header that says "Select your template" with a drop-down menu of a list of templates to choose from (including any New Templates you create). You can also compose your own from scratch.

   -   When you are happy with your letter, choose your Audience (you probably want Custom Audience) and then click Add Recipients, which opens a window where you can select people from the Contact Book you just made (to select multiple people hold down the shift button while you click.

To easily send thank-you emails to donors, follow these steps:

Log in to your fundraising dashboard by logging into your account in the top right

Click "Report" in the dashboard options (below your profile photo).

Locate the donor/donation you'd like to thank, and click "Send Email" (If the donor didn't submit their email address, this option is unavailable.)

Type the message in the pop-up window, and click "Send Email"

Yes. You can make a donation to a participant on a team or you can make a general team donation.

It is not a good idea to send a cash donation in the mail. We’d much prefer it if you deposit the cash into your checking account and send a personal check from your account.

Please make all checks payable to: BORP Adaptive Sports & Recreation.
Please make sure that in the memo it says Rev and if you are sponsoring a rider or virtual participant, be sure to include their name so we can credit the donation to their ride!

On the Rev website, look for the “donate” button. 

You have the option to click “Participant”, “Team”, or “General” for your donation options.

If you click “Participant”: a search bar will open and once you begin typing in a name, registered participants that have that name will appear, and you are able to click on the person of your choice. Your donation will be credited to their fundraising goals.

If you click “Team”: search bar will open and once you begin typing in a name, registered teams that have that name will appear, and you are able to click on the team of your choice. Your donation will be credited to their fundraising goals. 

Can’t remember the team name, but know the name of someone on that team? Search by person, open their fundraising page and click through to the team page. You will be able to click the donation button on the team page for your donation.

Click the wrong option? Click the X in the search box and the 3 donation options will re-appear.

General donations are donations to the event, not credited to the fundraising goals of a particular person or team.

Any donation made online should post immediately. If an online donation does not post within 5 minutes, please contact us.

On the home page, scroll down to the search bar and click to select it. Begin typing the first or last name. Your options will display as you type.

If you check this checkbox, you will be charged the amount indicated next to the checkbox. This amount will also be visible to the non-profit. However, on the fundraising page, your intended - initial donation amount will be displayed.

All monetary donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Yes. For Canadian donations made online with a credit card, the amount entered in the online donation form will be in U.S. dollars.

Any donor who mailed their donation and provided an address will receive a receipt via mail once the donation has been processed. If you made your donation in installments, you will receive a receipt each time a monthly payment is processed.

Yes, anyone who donates online, regardless of the amount, will receive a receipt via email.

A Tax ID number identifies BORP Adaptive Sports & Recreation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit Organization. The BORP Adaptive Sports & Recreation Tax ID number is 94-2324340

When you make a donation online, you can designate what you want to appear as your recognition name on the participant's Honor Roll. This may be your name, or it could be something such as "From the whole Wolf family" or "in memory of Aunt Cathy."

As your donors make a contribution, they have the option of whether or not they want to appear in the Honor Roll.

Log in with your email and password to visit your headquarters page. Select ‘My Fundraising Report on the left side. You will then find a list of all of your donors as well as a list of all donors to your team .

2. Click "My Fundraising Report" in the left sidebar
3. Locate the donor/donation you'd like to thank, and click "Send Email" (If the donor didn't submit their email address, this option is unavailable.)
4. Type the message in the pop-up window, and click "Send Email"

You are receiving these emails because we would like to keep you updated on your fundraising efforts. If you wish to stop receiving these updates, please login to your headquarters and edit your account preferences.

Yes. There are two options 1) to add someone to your account (e.g., a young child), and 2) to register another user with their own account. For both options, as you go through the registration process you will need to create or join a team. When you see the option near the bottom of the page, if you don't already have a team, click Create a Team, fill in the form and then click next. On the next screen, click the big "Register another member" button. 

Next you will see Rider registration fields to fill in and at the top of that form you will see the 2 options:

#1 Add a user to my account, will include a second person in your registration. This is good if you are fundraising as a unit, such as a parent with a toddler.

#2 Register a user with their own account will create another full registration for another rider. You must have that person's email address to set up their user account.

Fill out the rest of the registration and repeat as necessary.Note, people who are added to the event this way will need to sign the waiver because only the person checking out will have signed the waiver through this process.

A personal URL is a shortened link to your team or personal page that you can send to friends and family in emails. A personal URL will look like this https://borp.rallybound.org/ben.

When a donor makes a donation online, s/he can enter text to appear on the fundraising honor roll. This may be the donor's name, or it could be something like "From the whole Wolf family" or "In Memory of Aunt Cathy".
