About BORP Adaptive Sports & Recreation

BORP's mission is to empower Bay Area youth and adults with mobility and vision disabilities through sports, fitness, and recreation programs that foster independence, health, community, and belonging.

Since our founding in 1976, BORP has been a trailblazer in adaptive sports, launching the careers of multiple Paralympic athletes, improving accessibility in parks and trails throughout the region, and serving tens of thousands of individuals across the Greater Bay Area and beyond. We are the only organization of our kind in the region, offering:

  • 7 Weekly Virtual and In-Person Fitness Classes
  • 8 Adaptive Sports Teams: wheelchair basketball, rugby, goalball, power soccer
  • Weekly Pickleball and Rock Climbing Opportunities

Join the Revolution!

BORP’s Revolution Ride is our biggest fundraising event—powering every program we offer. We couldn’t do what we do without the Rev, and we can’t do the Rev without YOU!

At BORP, outreach and equitable access are at the heart of our mission. No one is ever turned away due to lack of funds. Help us keep adaptive sports accessible for all by joining us for this year’s Revolution Ride.
