Several decades ago I had the privilege of making tallises/prayer shawls with both Talia Geliebter and her mother, Robin Keller. (See photo below!)
Over the past year, since returning to the San Francisco Bay Area, Mark and I have become close friends with both of Talia’s parents— Robin & Mark.
When (my) Mark & I heard about the Ride, we decided to join “Team Talia” to help to raise funds supporting Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program (BORP) Adaptive Sports & Recreation— an organization near and dear to Talia and her family.
We all plan to ride together on May 3rd which would have been my dad, Lester Katz of blessed memory’s 103rd birthday.
Every dollar I raise will support BORP’s mission which is to improve the lives of youth and adults with physical disabilities through challenging sport, fitness and recreation programs. BORP’s programs help individuals with disabilities gain skills that lead to success in school, work, and life.
Truth is, I’m really looking forward to the ride!
Learn more about BORP here: www.borp.org. No doubt, the more you know about it, the better you will feel about supporting my ride!
Thanx in advance—.
